When the Only Way In Is Over the Fence

Backyard access without knocking anything down

Most suburban blocks give you one narrow side path and a gate that was never designed for what you just bought. Rather than removing fence panels or dragging something across a lawn, the crane picks the item off the truck in the street and sets it down inside the yard.

The truck parks on the road, the lift goes up and over, and the item lands on the pad, the deck or the base you have already prepared.

• Pallets of pavers, tiles, turf and soil
• Statues, planters and heavy landscape features

What we check before the lift

Residential lifts live or die on overhead clearance. Before we commit to a job we want to know what is above the flight path and how much room the truck has on the street.

• Power and comms lines running to the house and along the street
• Trees, awnings, eaves and balcony overhangs
• Street width, parking restrictions and driveway crossings
• Where exactly the item is going to sit, and whether the base is ready
• Approximate weight — the crane lifts about 2 tonnes at 13 metres, more when working closer in

Careful with the finished stuff

By the time a spa or a statue arrives, the landscaping, tiling and paving are usually already done. Lifts are planned so the load never tracks over finished surfaces, and slings and padding are chosen to keep marks off gel coats, render and polished stone.

If the item has already been removed or dismantled by someone else and simply needs lifting and carting away, that's a straightforward job for us too.
